Microfilming

Once documents have been prepared, they will then be captured to microfilm format using specialist equipment. We are able to produce the following formats of microfilm depending on your requirements.

Roll film / 3M cartridge - is the least expensive and holds around 2500 A4 pages or 400 A1 pages, which need to be cycled through to locate the correct document.

Fiche / jackets - hold around 60 A4 images, 6 A1 images or a combination of both. This format can be updated so is useful for documents such as client files or medical records.

Aperture cards - used for microfilmed drawings and hold one drawing per card with room for extensive notes or holerith punch data to be added.
